for
Commissioner
If elected commissioner I will work towards a limited government. I would like to see us get away from our spend-more, tax-more mentality. The borrower is always a servant to the lender.
I will not vote for ordinances or amendments that violate the Constitutions, and have excessive penalties for minor offenses.
I will support citizens private property rights, and the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures as stated in the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution.
I will work towards a frugal and wise government that does not infringe upon the rights of our citizens or businesses. I will uphold our Constitution, which must remain the rule for government to live by.
My Vision for Haywood County
1. Haywood County citizens free to choose what is best for them. If citizens don't violate the rights of others, they should be basically free from government interference.
2. Haywood County citizens keeping more of their money. Citizens deserve top-notch essential services. Services the county should easily be able to afford if non essential services are frozen in place at today's level and not expanded. We must phase these services out on a gradual basis.
3. Haywood County becoming the envy of surrounding counties, not because of the services government offers, but because of the freedoms we are guaranteed by our Constitutions.
4. Haywood County attracting large and small businesses from across the Nation. They will quickly see that Haywood County is a pro-business community and county government will not be an obstacle standing in their way to success.
